You got a lot of money but you can't afford the freeway

I went to see Aimee Mann on Sunday. It was absolutely perfect. I blogged about it here. Her voice is fantastic, she was witty and sweet and awesome. And also 48. (And that's in no way meant as an offense, I'm just baffled every time I think of her age, because she seems so young).

And apart from concerty goodness, I've been hanging out with my friends a lot, played some more Wii (but then I got bitter because I kept losing, so I just ended up watching the others play and ate candy instead) and started watching Madmen. We're only 4 episodes into the show, but so far, I'm enjoying it immensly. Except for Kartheiser. ("Angel's handsome yet androgynous son"). He's like Hayden Christensen and Keanu Reeves and all bad actors rolled into one, topped off with a baby face worse than mine, he will definitely be carded until he's 75. Oh well.

Onto more papercrafty related things:

The new Vi scrapper was released on Tuesday, and once again, it's fantastic. The amount of Christmasy ideas is unbelieveable! I have an article in there about journaling :)

On Monday, Anette and I are taking a class with the ever so fabulous Ania! After two years of blogstalking , I finally get to see and learn her brilliance for reals :) I can't wait!

I battled with the sewing machine all Thursday and Friday night last week. This is the result:
I kind of like how it turn out, despite that everything is crooked and that a llama could probably sew better than this. But it has a zipper for hidden journaling (which I scribbled down on our grocery list note pad while waiting for my tea to boil) and Jimmy Eat World lyrics. So it's all good in my book.

And speaking of books, finally found a red Moleskine for 2009 yesterday (or "moleskinke" as a customer said once... I guess that's only funny if you're Norwegian though). The red ones are the best! For 2008, I have a different brand than Moleskine. It's prettier (because it has a bird on the cover), but not so practical. And not red.

I've tried going Christmas shopping several times this week, only to return with nothing but things for myself. Hm.
