You better watch your back, we may want your neck

Title song: Your neck by Alkaline Trio (this version is kind of sucky [pun intended], but it was all I could find. I remember Henrik and I agreeing that this song must be written for my vampire loving self when we first heard it... Ah, nothing like bringing an anticipated cd home, sinking down in your favorite chair and just enjoy. Anyways, I digress.

I haven't blogged in a month. Seems so much longer. While life has seemed incredibly busy, nothing huge has happened I guess. It's mostly been spring allergies (hitting me like a brick in the face, I can't really spend any time outside at all, which sucks), Twilight (will elaborate later on), hanging out with friends, moving the library into the gym at work (nothing beats having a basket ball hoop in the library, I tells you!) and getting to know this little guy:

His name is Sprocket and he's a weird little guy. We love him :)

So. Twilight. I finished reading them during Easter break. I've also read the half of Midnight Sun on Stephenie's home page. I've watched the movie (which could have been better, but Edward [and hello, Robert Pattinson, I know you're like 5 years younger than me, but you're not that bad looking, if I might say so myself] and Bellas characters work pretty well together). I discuss it with other "Twilighters" any chance I get. I got this very emo t-shirt:

And I love it. It's pretty safe to say that I'm heartbroken now that there is no more. It's the best books I've read since Harry Potter. For reals, people. Not because it's very well written (because, let's face it, Stephenie Meyer won't win a Pulitzer any time soon), but because it's a character driven story which I think appeals to just about every girl out there. I'm so very Bella. Every girl in the world could be Bella. Except that sadly, we're not. Anyways. Who doesn't want a vampire boyfriend? Who didn't suck at volleyball in PE? Who doesn't hate to have attention drawn to them, and who isn't clumsy as hell? Bella is so very unselfish, so caring, for a 17 year old. I have a special place for her in my heart. I love all these characters like they were my closest friends (well, maybe not Rosalie). It's just so touching, so sad, so fantastic all at once. It's a wonderful reading experience, and I have to admit that I didn't think it could be. I thought these books were reserved for hysterical 14 year old girls when I first heard about them.

And now, the books are so dear to me that if I think about them, I could actually start bawling my eyes out. And I'm not ashamed to admit it either, so ha!

And while I'm known to wander off the path that this blog kind of tries to cling to, there is something scrapbooking related tied to all this rambling:

I've loved this Pink Paislee paper ever since I saw it on the CHA previews, and it was just perfect to hold my journaling. There is much more journaling behind the file folder thingy. And the feather makes sense if you've read the 4th book.

Ok... more randomness:
- Watching Coraline tomorrow. I can't wait. It looks nothing less than fantastic. I've also started re-reading the book, but I doubt I will finish it by tomorrow.
- Honored to be on Erik's "blaggrull".
- Have Green Day ticket!! Now I can finally stop being bitter for not getting to see them back when I was 13. (Confession: When I was in junior high, I copied the story inside the cd booklet of "Kerplunk" and handed it in as my own story for an English assignment. Not because I couldn't write anything good, but because I loved the story. I got an A on "my" paper. Thanks, Green Day!)
- Have been watching Fight Quest like there'd be no tomorrow. Amazing how entertaining it is to see these guys get their asses kicked! (And they're surprisingly humble about it).
- Thought Wolverine was the suckiest movie I've seen in a while. Don't waste your money on it.
- Got purple chucks in the mail! Summer can officially begin!
- Just saw the pictures from Sindre's parkour shoot with Fredrik, and they rock!
- Had an Emo-tea-date with the fabulous Anette. Great as always. I made this yesterday. Her expression makes up for the fact that she's only wearing one black piece of clothing :]

If you made it all the way to the end of this entry, you deserve ice cream! And possibly a beer. Or maybe both. But probably not at the same time, because that sounds icky.

She's alive! Emo-tea?

Klem!!!

I feel the same about the
Twilight books and Harry Potter. I'm lost without new ones but thank goodness for DVDs and, of course, you can always re-read the books. Great layout.

Actually. Beer dumplings. Øl (lager) m/iskrem oppi. Har sett bilde av sånt! (om jeg kommer til å prøve noe sånt selv er heller tvilsomt :P)
