I want to take you through a wasteland I like to call my home

Title song: Welcome to Paradise by Green Day.

So. Long time no blog. Life is busy, busy, busy. I changed my header, because let's face it, it won't happen. I hate to be the Grinch who stole spring, but holy crap, this weather is so depressing. When the snow and ice were finally starting to melt, the asphalt was bare and I had worn sneakers and bought new, huge sunglasses, it frickin' starts to snow again? Wtf? I got these babies in the mail yesterday, and I just had to put them away. Hrmpf.

What have I been up to lately?
Last weekend, I went to a scrapbooking fair and met up with lots of lovely people. So cool to see Tove, Gudrun and Lene again, got to say a brief hi to Carrin, and it was so nice to finally meet all the lovely ladies from Stavanger: Monica and Hanna who were super nice and not to mention very very talented scrapbookers, Trude Julie (whose blog seems to have disappeared out of thin air) who was just the right kind nerdy and we talked about lots of cool things, love her! And the lovely Oddbjørg who was super sweet and down to earth and extremely talented, Prima are so lucky to have her!
I finally got to meet up with Mari who was exactly like I had pictured, super sweet and fun :)
And of course it was lovely to see Anette again.
Here's Anette, Mari and me:

After the fair I went to a crop hosted by Minneriket. I had a great time, thanks so much Kristin for making sure everyone had such a lovely time! I didn't get a lot of scrapbooking done, but I made this (journaled when I got home, because I didn't have a single coherent thought that night, due to hyperactiveness, hunger, sugar high and tiredness, all at the same time)

I have to admit that I've become hooked on the Twilight series. It's trashy, it's not well written, but hell, it has vampires and it's very page turner-y. I wasn't really going to give in to the hype, but at the same time I was really curious what the fuss was all about.

Proof 515554 why I have the best boyfriend? The other night he came home with this:

I got some new friends in the mail the other day:
Carrot shake Jake and a small Uglydoll

Happy and sad apples

And I got some new Dunnies a while ago

Aaaand, this is what that shelf normally looks like. Kokeshis picked up in Japan.

Aaaaaaaaaand I got me a Duaflex! I've only taken one shot so far, but I need to buy some macro filters for my lens and to build a less crappy contraption. But... no time. Maybe during Easter break.

I also finally got a large decorating tip from Bake it pretty so that I can make tasty AND pretty cupcakes :)

So, are you turning off your lights for Earth Hour tonight? I sure am!

I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die

I don't really believe that Johnny Cash shot a man in Reno just to watch him die, but it's a nice song anyway.

Dear winter,
you are so fired.

Dear Millencolin,
How do you manage to go from this to this to this? Granted, it's been 12 years between those two albums, but dude. (It's not like I discovered this right now, I just wonder).

Dear Brilleland,
Please send my new contacts asap. The other day I mistook an excavator for a horse.

Life is insanely busy and sometimes even not remotely funny. But that's how it is to be a (so-called) grown up, I guess.

I finally succumbed and joined Facebook. While it kinds of kills me, I do see the practical aspect of it. But it also saddens me that people just can't pick up a damn phone anymore.

I'm so excited to get my hands on these papers. And I'm excited to get this cool little tool.

I haven't been doing much creative this past week, but I did run around the house, hiding cute little notes:

And I baked some tacky cupcakes:

Aaaand there is a new scraplift up at Scrappemania, this time we lifted Gudrun! She's super cool, and she also designs some awesome papers (the new collection with monster paper is super awesome!)
Anyways, here's my layout. I'm finally starting to use up some of the Hambly I've been hoarding for ages. Good timing, I guess, as the new releases are right around the corner.

It's about the million things I want to do :)
This weekend will be pretty low-key. I'll hopefully get to do some scrapbooking, and on Sunday, I'm watching Smala Sussie with a friend.

Have a great weekend!

You're a bloody puppet!

Title: Scene from the Angel episode Smile time.

So. The weekend is over. Why is it always over so fast? I haven't really done much this weekend. Made some cards. Watched Angel. Made tacos. And last night we watched Pulp Fiction. Again. For the bazillionth time. I love it. If there is one movie maker who truly has my heart, it's Tarantino. Screw Kubrick and Spielberg and Scorsese. Tarantino is the man, folks!

I figured I could share a couple of more layouts before I go to bed. Both of these were made for a monthly contest over at Minneriket.

This is about wishing someone would steer me onto the right path. Whichever path that may be. The picture is horrific, but dude, this crazy patterned paper is impossible to photograph! It looks a lot better in real life. Made from a sketch by Gyda.

This is about love. Cheesy as it is. I'm desperately trying to use up a bunch of my yellow stuff. I've been hoarding yellow supplies like there'd be no tomorrow, so it's about time I started using them.

Not much else to report here, except that my kitchen has been invaded by some rather weird foods who all of a sudden seem very depressed. Must be the weather. Because you know, it snowed again.
